In the News This Week: FRACC SCCAL Wrap Up Observations and Evaluations Lesson Plans Learning Walk FRACC SCCAL Wrap Up: What an amazing program... The FRPS 7-8th graders have been working with their mentors (Vicki Arons, Vanessa Reis and Dennis Robinson) throughout the fall semester and the end result included songs that students composed themselves and artwork that was amazing. I ask that you watch this 2 minute video so that you are aware of one of the Arts Programs that your students can take advantage of if they excel in art or music. Thank you- the next semester starts on February 27th, and registration info has been pushed out to all parents of 7/8th graders. If you are wondering if a student is aware of this program, and you want to recommend them, let them know that registration closes on February 8th and the lottery is February 9th. Penultimate Blog Entry for 2022/23 SY

Good morning ARTS FAM! Thank you for being a part of the collective growth of the fine and performing arts team. This year, we accomplished so much. Maps were revised, curriculum was developed and aligned to grade level standards, and scaffolds were developed for students who need them to succeed. Concerts were performed, festivals adjudicated, arts expos expo-ed, fashion shows run, musicals and theatrical performances done, PDs led and learned from.. pat yourselves on the back, people! We are so good. But also so tired LOL. With one more week of wake ups until you call it a year, we have a few things on our minds. Evals PD time on Thursday and Friday Summer Plans EVALS- As these should be done at this point, a couple of housekeeping items. 1. Remember to read and sign these in TeachPoint . Week ending November 3rd, 2023

Is it too late to wish you all a happy Halloween? :) Good afternoon, Arts Fam! Welcome to the first Friday of the crazy month of November. Here are some things to know while planning your lessons for students: There are 14 educational days in November- know that there will only be ONE full week of school. Plan knowing there will be a feeling of "short week" with the kids- K-5- this may mean you are missing a cohort of kids two times this month (Friday classes?). 6-8- this may mean that you see your Tue and Friday kids less than the rest- be ready to either "abridge" a task or add an extension task to the kids you see on Mon/Wed/Thu. 9-12- seeing your kids daily, you may not have as much of a clunky feel to the month, but it's still bound to be a little weird, not gonna lie :) So, how do we get in front of this? Consistency, engagement, being human. Be consistent- the honeymoon is over, people! LOL, really though. Kids have settled into your routines,
