Formative Evaluations:
At this point, for all one year plan teachers, most of you should be meeting with or have met with your evaluator.  If you are still not ready for this meeting, or have any questions, please see the video I shared weeks ago or simply email me.  HERE is the link to the explanatory video.
Check this out!  Beth Laginess made this little place with her K kids!

Learning Walk:
On Thursday, Chelsea Burnham (Music Lead Teacher) and Kerin McGillicuddy (Art Lead Teacher) walked through art and music classrooms to document what we are planning for kids across the grade span K-8.  I walked through 9-12.  We will use the data and notes to build a whole district report and share it with you all so you can see what we do PreK-12.  Look for this report in the next few days.
Why do we do this?  A learning walk is an informal way to get a "dipstick" of what types of tasks, content objectives, language expectations, etc are being planned for our students across all grade levels.  When we look at this with a wide lens like this, we can see the arts growth that happens as students progress.  The goal is to build skill and keep making it more and more challenging as we go, so we try to give feedback to the group that pushes for that high level of growth/challenge.  This is why we look at grade level expectations, scaffolds, and use of specific content language.  Thank you for having us!
Here are some pics from the LW!

PD Day: Don't forget to sign up for what you want in TeachPoint.  Sharing the info doc here for you all again.

Thanks,
Jackie
