Tuesday Arts Blog- 1/18/22

The work you do DOES MATTER for our kids.. Last month, I worked with Dr. Jessica Stephens to create this work- there is a picture up for EVERY person at Durfee.  Students were asked "why does this person matter to YOU?"  They wrote their responses on these pages, and we took photos, printed them out and laminated them in long sheets to display in all of the common areas.  Such a great impact to see and read!

This week, in the Arts Blog..

  • We are back from the long weekend, and I feel like Omicron is lessening- looks like less people are out sick, and my fingers and toes are crossed that we will be out of this soon.  Stay healthy, everyone!
  • Thank you to all who submitted student work for the MLK Arts/Writing Contest!  Here is a link to a compilation of the art that was submitted: LINK
