Where Are You From?

Who are YOU?

Remember Mad Libs?  Maybe you do, if I am talking in the wrong century LOL, Mad Libs were a fill in the blanks fun game where you added info to make a story.  Well, what's YOUR story?  What might be our kids' stories?   Here is an "I AM FROM" fill in that provides people with a frame to do some introspective thinking.

I am from _______________(a specific item from your childhood home) from _____________________(two products or objects from your past) I am from _____________________ (a phrase describing your childhood home) and ____________________ (more description of your childhood home) I am from ______________________ (a plant, tree or natural item from your past) whose ___________________________________ (personify that natural item) I am from ______________________________(two objects from your past) from ____________________and __________________________(a family name) (another family name) I am from _____________________________________and _____________________________________ (a family trait or tendency) (another family trait or tendency) and from __________________________(another family trait, habit or tendency) from ________________ (another family trait, habit or tendency) I am from _____________________________ (a religious phrase or memory) I am from _____________________________________and _____________________________________ (an ancestor) (another ancestor) from ___________________________ (two foods from your family history) from ______________________________ (a specific event in the life of an ancestor) and from __________________________________ (another detail from the life of an ancestor) ___________________________________ (a memory or object you had as a child) I am from those moments __________________ (conclude by finishing this thought or by repeating a line or idea from earlier in the poem)

And how is this PERSONAL STORY RELEVANT?

If you follow Daniel Pink, so much of what he proclaims regarding "story" is a part of what you do and plan for daily with our kids.  As we dive into our work this year, be aware.

Be aware of who you are. Where you are FROM.  And who your kids ARE.  And where they are FROM.  Thank you for being you and for seeing THEM and embracing their STORY.

In the News This WEEK:

In addition, Mexico and Chile celebrate their independence days on September 16 and September18, respectively.

  • That Old Covid- Yup, if you get sick, and test positive for Covid, you post your absence on Frontline as sick time- Isolate for 5 days, may return after 5 and mask for 5 days.  Days are consecutive calendar days, not "work days".  So, if you started with symptoms on Wednesday, you start the 5 day count that day, and return on Monday.  Any questions, text me.
