Bows up and ready at All City Orchestra!

Happy Monday to All!

In the arts last week, we were busy!  Art rooms are bustling with preparations for the 2nd Annual FRPS ARTS EXPO, to be held at Durfee on Thursday, April 27th from 5 to 7PM for the community to see the awesome work our students create.  In the instrumental world, directors were busy preparing and performing with students from grades 5 to 12 for the Annual All City Band and Orchestra Concerts.  The Durfee Auditorium hosted these events on Tuesday and Thursday, and parents were so pleased with their students' performances.  In 5th grade music classrooms, students are continuing to practice for the upcoming Rhode Island Philharmonic's LINK UP Performance, held on Thursday, May 24th.  Students will be performing with thousands of other 5th graders from RI and Mass using their recorders..  This great opportunity was afforded to FRPS through the grant funded Link UP program from the Rhode Island Phil.  Our recorders, student music books and professional development was given to us AT NO COST so our students could do this work, and be a part of the performance- so excited to see them play!
