Week Ending 10/25/19

This week, a little lesson sharing with a focus on being prepared!

I wanted to share out a few slides from Becky Jontos at Silvia, as she uses technology and clear expectations to motivate and engage students in her music class..

Here are some examples from this week!

How does she do this?  Becky uses Google Slides, and builds her simple communication slides so that when students arrive, they are greeted and see this, weekly.  They read the slide together, and then jump into the work.  When they have recorders or stations to navigate, they can always be reminded of the expectation by simply looking up at the wall and the projected slide..

Reflect on your teaching style. Do you find yourself constantly reminding students VERBALLY of the expectation?  Using tech (a simple projector and Google Slides) may be the answer to your problem!

Next, I would like to share (and remind you of one of our widely used platforms) a Blendspace from Kerin McGillicuddy at Tansey/Watson..  Click on this link to see how Kerin uses LINE examples and vocabulary, as well as images, videos and clear learning expectations to deliver this content to her students... LINK TO BLENDSPACE

And here is an image of a projected screen from Mark Carvalho's Google Classroom expectations...
