Also, this weekend!!!!!  The We HeART Fall River Celebration!!  Our own Durfee Marching Band will be performing!  Tons of stuff to do and see!

In the News This Week:
  • Teachers have been busy with reinforcing those norms for behavior now that all of the Face to Face learners are back in buildings.  Keep on keepin'on- stay consistent with your routines, and the kids will rise to the occasion!  
  • With 6 weeks of school left, let's all try to keep our kids FOCUSED ON THE FINISH LINE!!! Please do your part in messaging parents and/or students about being present (whether VP or P), as the district is concerned with the attendance of our kids.. any and all attempts to get our kids engaging and learning is super appreciated.
  • With the end of the year coming sooner than we know it, we will be planning for two half days for students (June 16/17) and two full PD days for teachers (June 18/21).  We have lots of stuff to keep us busy throughout that last week.. here's a list of some things we are planning so far:
  1. Durfee Band/Orch (Whole Team Effort): Prepping instrument inventory for move to new school.
  2. Durfee Performing Arts: Prepping all performing arts supplies for move.
  3. Durfee Art: Inventory/prepping all classroom objects that are going to new school.  Labeling anything getting moved to other buildings.
  4. Middle School Art: Inventorying supplies, organizing classroom for next year.
  5. Middle School Music: Inventorying instruments/organizing classroom for next year.
  6. K-5 Art: Sending any students' art work home, inventory of supplies, prep room for next year.
  7. K-5 Music: Inventory of instruments/supplies, prep rooms for next year.
  8. In addition, there may be PD time on the last two days- thinking Prep for Return to Performance/Exposition, as well as a potential for Curriculum Development.  More to come on how to register online and how to get PDPs.
