 sounds like a plan

With 15 days left of the school year, my message to the team is.. plan for solid engagement from now to the end, because this is the time that students can get a little "messy" if they don't have something concrete and engaging to work on.  I know that at the end of the year, sometimes we want to "go easy" on kids as we wind down.. Well I say, wind it UP and have some fun at the same time!

Use up left over supplies in the art room with a fun art challenge.  Do a mash up in music- those are super popular with kids on TikTok!  I am sure you can plan waaay better tasks than I can list here.  Just think about your time left (15 school days), and how you can use that time for kids to learn, play, and love what they do with you.  At the elementary level, you may only see your kids a few more times, so plan for that.. do they need to make a cool art portfolio to take things home with at the end of the year?  At the middle, you may see kids maybe a half dozen more times- what end of year tasks can you plan that get kids making, singing, playing, performing, that culminate the year meaningfully?  Go for it!

Thanks everyone.  I know this year has been hard.  I want you to know that this system would NOT RUN without you.  Each and every one of you make this city school system work.  Your kids need you. They love you.  And so does this lady.
